This prayer is called the “embolism,” a word for a short prayer inserted into another prayer. According to the 1913 Catholic Encyclopedia, “[t]he embolism may date back to the first centuries, since, under various forms, it is found in all the Occidental and in a great many Oriental, particularly Syrian, Liturgies.”
Original in Latin:
Libera nos, quæsumus, Domine, ab omnibus malis, da propitius pacem in diebus nostris, ut, ope misericordiæ tuæ adiuti, et a peccato simus semper liberi, et ab omni perturbatione securi: expectantes beatam spem et adventum Salvatoris nostri Iesu Christi.
This short prayer is often inserted into the Lord’s Prayer in this manner:
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

A Collection of Prayers 
I remember a prayer after The Our Father from back in the late 60’s , early 70’s. It went like this. Deliver us we beg you O Lord from every evil past present, and to come, and by the intercession of the blessed and glorious ever, Virgin Mary, mother of God, the blessed apostles, Peter and Paul, Andrew and all the Saints, grant peace in our days that by your compassionate aid we may be ever free from all sin and sheltered for all turmoil through Jesus Christ your son, our Lord, who lives in reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever amen. 🙏. Does that sound familiar or have I memorized incorrectly? Thanks

When I wrote the post, I was drawing from the current Roman Rite: https://catholic-resources.org/ChurchDocs/Mass-RM3.htm. I have a 1964 Missal, which has the wording similar to what you remember.
