Redirect Those Who Are in Error

Almighty God,
you redirect those who are in error
by the light of your truth
so they may return to the way of righteousness.
Grant that all who are brought
into the fellowship of Christ’s kingdom
may avoid those things that are hurtful to their faith
and follow all things that strengthen them in it;
through  Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and forever.

Almighty and eternal God,
bless us as we celebrate this day’s festival
and direct our eyes heavenward
where in human flesh, your only Son is with you;
through the same Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Almighty and eternal God,
you resist the proud
but you give grace to the humble.
Grant that we be not lose our chief happiness

but rather that we ascend into heaven
by the steps of humility;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

For Heavenly-Mindedness

O Lord,
you teach us not to worry about earthly things,
but to love heavenly things.
