Lord God, heavenly Father, make us watchful and heedful in awaiting the coming of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, that when he stands at the door and knocks, he may find us not sleeping in carelessness and sin, but awake and rejoicing in his appearing; through your beloved Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one true God, now and forever.
O Lord God, grant that we may not fall asleep in our sins like the foolish virgins, but always watch and pray and be ready to enter your eternal glory; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
Grant, O Lord God, that we may not, like the foolish virgins, fall asleep in our sins, but always watch and pray, and be ready to enter into Thine eternal glory; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord. AMEN
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the living God,
you alone heal the wounds of our sins,
and you show constant goodness in the Land of the Living;
Grant that we may serve you faithfully with a quiet mind in this world,
and going forth in your love,
may praise and bless you forever in the world to come;
through your mercy, O our God,
you are blessed,
and live and govern all things,
now and forever.
O Lord God,
rule and govern our hearts and minds by your Holy Spirit
that we may always be mindful of the end of all things
and the day of your last judgment,
and be stirred up to holiness of living here
and dwell with you forever hereafter;
through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and forever. Amen.
