Help and Defend Us

Almighty and eternal God,
look on our weaknesses.
Stretch forth the right hand of your majesty
to help and defend us from all danger;
through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and forever.
Amen.

Grant Us Peace in Our Time

Almighty and eternal God,
you govern all things in heaven and earth.
Mercifully hear the prayers of your people
and grant us your peace in our time;
through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and forever. Amen.

Let Us Clearly See What You Want Us to Do

O Lord,
mercifully receive the prayers
of your people who call on you.
Let them clearly see what you want them to do,
and give them the strength to do it;
through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and forever.
Amen.

An Epiphany Prayer

bartolomc3a9_esteban_murillo_-_adoration_of_the_magi_-_google_art_projectO Lord,
enlighten your people,
and ever kindle their hearts
with the splendor of your grace,
that the nativity of the Savior of the world,
once shown by a star,
may ever more and more be revealed to our minds;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
